Ulun Danu Batur Temple

Ulun Danu Batur Temple is the second largest temple after Besakih temple, the temple is located in the village of Kintamani Batur stands majestically on the right side of the road heading towards Bangli - Singaraja.

Before the great eruption of Mount Batur that occurred in 1917, Batur Temple was originally located at the foot of the mountain, near the southwestern edge of Lake Batur.

The eruption that destroyed 65,000 houses, 2,500 temples and hundreds of lives. But the magic only to stop the flow of lava at the foot of the temple. Safe population and continue to stay there.

This temple is about a 20-minute journey to Mount Batur, and when taken from Ubud approximately 1 hour drive.
