Bali Jungle Trekking, have you ever tried it out? When you go to Bali, don’t just visiting its beaches. Bali also has many great trekking routes, where you can experience best Bali jungle trekking. If you plan to try the jungle trekking in Bali, there are several things you need to do. First of all, you must choose the best place to do that. Here are some of our recommendations for your jungle trekking.
The Best Place for Jungle Trekking in Bali
Mount Batur
There are two routes you can take for reaching the top. One of them is the Pura Jati route. You will climb from this spot. You climb for about three hours until the top. Most of the Bali Jungle Trekking tours in Mount Batur use this route. It is harder. But, it gives you more experiences and an amazing adventure. And, at the top of the Mount Batur, you can see a beautiful sunrise.
Mount Agung
This is the highest mountain in Bali Island. Therefore, you can expect some real challenge when you do trekking here. You will need around 6 hours to go from the starting point to the top. So, in total, you need 12 hours to go to the top and go back down.
Tirtagangga
This place has a beautiful ancient water palace you can enjoy. You can take this route if you want to have easy jungle trekking. However, if you want for more challenge, you can take the village route. You will go around Lempuyang village. If you choose this route for Bali Jungle Trekking, you will need 6 hours.
Mount Abang
It is famous with the full jungle trekking route to reach the top. Unlike Mount Batur and Mount Agung that mostly consist of usual trekking road, this mountain isn’t like that at all. Most of the route is located in the jungle. It’s not as long as Mount Agung trekking route. However, the difficulty level can increase higher than the Mount Agung jungle trekking.
Sambangan
It is also known as Secret Garden. You will take the route that goes through the Sambangan jungle. The goal is the waterfall and natural pool at the top of the hill. It will take about 3 hours. We can say that this will become one of the best spots for Bali Jungle Trekking. The scenery along the trekking route is beautiful. But, more importantly, at the end of the route, you’ll find three beautiful waterfalls.
Sekumpul Waterfall
In the simplest words, this is the most beautiful destination for Bali Jungle Trekking. There are seven waterfalls located close to each other. The formation looks really beautiful. How about the jungle trekking?
The route will go through the jungle. However, the trekking route isn’t that hard. It has been fixed, so you can climb comfortably. But, you can still enjoy the challenge and scenery of amazing jungle along the route.
Mount Catur
This mountain gives you three different trekking experiences. Basically, in Mount Catur, you won’t get the experience for Bali Jungle Trekking. You also can enjoy many different routes, from the route that built close the lake and even go past the rice field.
The most unique part of this trekking trip is the place where you start your trekking. It is called Gua Jepang or Japan Cave. This cave is a cave that was built by Japan when they invade Indonesia a few decades ago. They used it to hold prisoners from WWII.
Basically, from the start, you will get a different experience than other trekking trips. And that’s not all. Once you reach the top, you can find a small temple. You can enjoy its scenery. And, if you carry a tent, you can even stay in this area for one night.
Things You Must Know
Bali Jungle Trekking is different than other jungle trekking. The main important thing you must know is the weather. Indonesia is located in the tropical climate area. Therefore, you can only find two seasons in this country, including Bali, which is a wet and dry season.
The best season to try jungle trekking is the dry season, especially if you plan to climb Mount Abang. In the dry season, the weather, as well as the lack of rain, will help you to avoid many problems in your climbing. With enough preparation, you can reach the goal easily.
In the wet season, the rain is your enemy. It will make the trekking road muddy and difficult. Moreover, you will go through a tropical jungle. So, in this season, the temperature is dropping greatly. It is very cold. This condition forces you to use more energy. That means you will build more fatigue.
However, it doesn’t mean you can do Bali Jungle Trekking on wet season. You just need to make good preparation, such as physical condition, equipment, and the most important thing is the trekking company/service.
Speaking about best trekking service for helping you to get best Bali Jungle Trekking, you can try Bagus Bali Sunrise Trekking. This Bali trekking tour company offers many different packages to several trekking destinations mentioned above.
Conclusion
Basically, if you plan to try jungle trekking in Bali, do not forget all of those important things we mentioned. Firstly, choose the place. Then, go at the right time and choose the best season for jungle trekking. And, the last but not the least, use Bagus Bali Sunrise Trekking for best trekking service you can get.

An epic hike up a dormant volcano
An unforgettable adventure hiking up a dormant volcano, where the sunrise will take your breath away! This is truly one of the most awe-inspiring sunrises you'll ever witness. There’s a shimmering lake, with hundreds of rice paddies sparkling as the sunlight streams in. It's a magical experience perfect for couples seeking romance or a group looking to share an extraordinary moment.

Colazione con the dolci e uova. Tutto perfetto! Grazie mille!

A hike of a lifetime
The sunrise trek exceeded all expectations - it was spectacular to see the first breaks of light of the sun as we climbed higher and higher. We saw the sun come up as we reached the summit and it was incredible! We went as a family with three kids, aged 7 and 10. Our kids have done many hikes but we weren’t sure how this would go so we opted for the jeep/trek combo. The trek itself was challenging - the first half is gravel, lava rocks and sand with steep inclines - but our guide, Adi was amazing and encouraged and motivated us. One of our kids needed extra cheering on, and Adi helped us boost her so she felt like a true mountain girl when she reached the top. There were lots of places to stop and rest and Adi provided headlamps, trekking poles and lots of water. He really looked after us and we are so grateful to have had him as our guide. At the top, we could take in the beautiful scenery and watch the sun come up over the crater lake. Adi brought us coffee and hot chocolate along with sandwiches, chocolates, fruit and boiled eggs. After our hike down, we took the jeeps back to the parking lot where we took a short ride to the hot springs. The water slides were a bonus for the kids! The whole experience was so memorable - we are so happy we did it! We absolutely would recommend this adventure with this outfit.

Amazing views, amazing guide, amazing memories
The 1:30 taxi pickup filled us with dread, but the minute we began walking we realised how special this morning would be. We seamlessly were connected to our guide Jata and began walking through the forest. Although one of us was scared of potential bugs, there were thankfully none to be seen on the path, none at all! We kept following the trail of head torches up to the top where we stopped after around 2 hours (about 5 o’clock) in the best seats in the house. Tip: bring a hoody/fleese we were freezing in T-shirts! During and after the spectacular sunrise our guide took some amazing photos on our phones we were blown away. He cooked a breakfast of eggs and banana sandwiches and took us into the steaming volcano, then we began our descent back down. This was when we were able to talk to our guide more and find out more about what life was like living in rural Bali, and he was really knowledgable about the local wildlife and area. We got back to the car, exchanged details with Jata and travelled the long journey back to Nusa Dua with an amazing story to tell our family and friends. I could not recommend this morning for able-bodied travellers enough: perfect!!!

Must do trip in Bali
Trekking was such a great experience. Difficult hike however there were options for if you couldn’t make it all the way to the top. It was very worth it when the sun came up, so beautiful and magical. It was a seamless itinerary, planned appropriately for the sunrise. With food and trekking guide included. Our guide Donnn was amazing organising transfers to the top of for 2 members of our group. Also teaching us about the Balinese culture and nature also taking photos when needed. We throughly appreciate Donnns services. The sunrise was incredible! Must do trip in Bali!

Amazing experience, loved every second
Thoroughly enjoyed our trek - the hike up was worth the stunning views at the top! Jata our guide was so friendly and warm, and we really enjoyed doing it with him. Also loved the addition of food and tea at the top. Jata also took some stunning pictures of us that we will cherish forever. Thank you Jata!!

Great company to take you sunrise watching
We booked a sunrise Jeep tour with black sand and lava before arriving to Bali. Teh communication was great, price was very fair. We were picked up on the day when we were told. Relaxing driver to the parking lot, transferred to a jeep and taken to the viewing spot. Also got a small breakfast - sandwiches, tea, fruit and candy. Later we were taken to black sand and lava field where we were explained some things by our driver. Taken back to teh parkin gand trasferred to a car to be dropped off at the hotel. A great experience with the company. The only thing that I was let down by was the sunrise itself - nothing extremelly special, really.
